The Open Educational Resources of the Massachusetts Community Colleges and Workforce Development Transformation Agenda Content Repository

This repository contains material created through the Transformation Agenda, an initiative designed in 2011 to remove barriers to college, reduce time to completion and meet student and employer needs through accelerated, industry-aligned programs. The Transformation Agenda brings together Massachusetts' 15 community colleges and partners including the Commonwealth’s higher education, economic development, adult basic education (ABE), and workforce development systems; and industry stakeholders, and is funded by a 3-year, $20 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT (Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training) initiative.

Users of this repository will find:

• curriculum from 151 programs that have been developed or redesigned to improve retention and accelerate completion, using strategies that include condensed formats, eight-week terms, stackable credentials and articulation from non-credit to credit-bearing courses;
• developmental education curriculum and approaches to diminish or eliminate the time students spend in developmental education;
• materials that support the development of accelerated program designs.
